How does heat auto-clean work?

To initiate Heat Auto-Clean, press the auto-clean button on the control panel for 3 seconds when it's in standby mode.

  • A 10-minute timer will begin.
  • • For the first 9 minutes, the internal heater melts and loosens the grease.
  • • In the last 1 minute, the fan runs at low speed to blow the loosened grease out through the outlet.
  • • Any remaining residue collects in the oil collector tray behind the filter.
  • • After the cycle ends, carefully remove the tray, empty and clean it, and slide it back into place securely.

What should the distance between the chimney and the countertop be?

The ideal distance for best performance is 24–30 inches between the chimney and the cooktop.

How do I decide on the suction capacity of a chimney?

Choose the suction capacity based on your kitchen size, cooking habits, and how much smoke or oil your cooking generates. For light cooking, 600-1000 m³/hr is sufficient. Heavy frying and grilling requires 1200-1500 m³/hr or higher.

Are kitchen chimneys better than exhaust fans?

Yes, they are. Exhaust fans remove smoke only after it has already spread inside the kitchen. A chimney, on the other hand, provides instant ventilation by directly absorbing and expelling smoke, grease, and odours before they spread.
